Thank you Thomas and Ron.

This is truly a beautiful song done by a beautifull lady. I am so happy you helped me completely transcribe these lyrics. I had much difficulty with a few of the words but now everytning fits and makes sense. Now when I listen I know exactly the words she is singing.

Best Wishes

Hello Ron,

Thanks for your kind reply! I'm sure you are right with your explanation.

It was great trying to transcribe the lyrics -- it got me a real close listen to a great song I didn't listen to for quite a while. This kind of listening brought it nearer to me and I really became 'aware' of the song first time in my life.

Best Wishes,

Thomas,

I haven't listened to this in quite a while but I think that "sand" may refer to the metaphor of the days of our lives being like "sands through an hourglass". This reference also was used in the beginning of each episode of the American soap opera Days Of Our Lives.

This is a beautiful song. Thanks for taking the time to transcribe it.

Dear "W. Hollingsworth",

Though I'm from Germany I know "my" Peggy music for a long time now (I even met her in person in 1995) and I just listened to the beautiful song and I tried to write down the lyrics for you. There is only one word I'm not sure of, because it doesn't make so much sense to me (the word "sand" ) -- but then, it might be the artistry of Miss Peggy, the lyricist:

Passenger of the Rain

Oh yes I’ll remember the rain
Blending with the sky and the sea
That was my unhappiest time
The beginning of this sweet memory
For I met you too late, yes a whole life too late
You came from nowhere to love me
Though you came with the rain

I remember nothing but pain
Just like a child in the dark
Crying for the light to appear
Crying to have somebody near

Then suddenly you were fulfilling my need
I walked with new strength in your steps
And then I could live life again

So I’ll remember the rain
All through the SAND (?) of my days
My heart wants to see you again
To feel as I did on that day
Let the hours go by, let this feeling remain
Will you ever return?

Passenger of the Rain

Best Wishes and a Happy New Year from Munich, Germany,

I have still not been able to find the lyrics for the song "Passenger Of The Rain". If anyone has any suggestions or ideas of how I can fine out these lyrics I would greatly appreciate. I have the recording from her album "Make It With You" but I am unable to determine all the lyrics that she sings.
Thank You
