Peggy's book of poetry

I love Peggy's lyrics and poetry. Does anyone have more info on her self-published book of poetry? What was it called? Is it available anywhere (even online)? Also, were any of those pieces ever molded into songs?

Thanks!

Edgar

PS - this is my first post. I just joined, but have been under her spell maybe four years (so far!). I have devoured all the recordings and am still seeking out a few I can't seem to find (yet).

Welcome to the board, Edgar. The title of the collection is Softly - With Feeling. Privately printed in 1953, it is a small publication (approximately 6" by 10"; 39 pages). I don't imagine that too many copies were printed.

Copies are probably very hard to find. One came up for auction at eBay about five years ago; its starting bidding price was $105....

Peggy also had a handful of her poems published in a newspaper. One of them was indeed set to music after Peggy had passed away, and recorded by a contemporary singer, Tish Oney, in her tribute CD Dear Peg. The title of the poem and song is "Burn It Slow."
