Your favorite ballads?

Hi Y'all:

After pondering, I still keep changing the songs I have come up with. Here are three:

Here's That Rainy Day
My Old Flame
As Time Goes By

I really can't limit it to just three. I'll sign in under another name. Just kidding. It would be interesting to know Peggy's daughter and granddaughter might think about the question posed. Let's make it hard for them and possibly have them suggest their favorite song.

Hope everyone enjoys the holiday.

Much sympathy for those in England and Scotland for what they have been experiencing.

Peace,
Ruth

Ah! This is a simple and easy question: "Senza fine" - what else? I'm wondering if you appreciate this song, too.

Here's a belated shout-out to Sal for including The Golden Wedding Ring, an oft-overlooked gem, and to all who mentioned My Old Flame (1969 version), Passenger Of The Rain, No Fool Like An Old Fool and, of course, The Folks Who Live On The Hill and I'll Be Seeing You.

And here's a belated what-were-you-thinking to everyone who omitted No More, I'm A Fool To Want You, How Bitter My Sweet, You're My Thrill, Love Letters, You're Blase, He Used Me, (I'm Afraid) The Masquerade Is Over, The Night Holds No Fear (For The Lover), The No-Color Time Of The Day, Don't Explain, Just For A Thrill (1972 version), The Right To Love, The Shadow Of Your Smile, My Silent Love and, of course, The Silent Sea, I Was Born In Love With You and The Thrill Is Gone (From Yesterday's Kiss).

I'll get back to you when I put together my top-three list!

I am a new member to this website, but have been a longtime fan of Miss Peggy Lee. This is a tough question to answer, but I will say:

The Folks Who Live On The Hill
Guess I'll Go Back Home This Summer
Just For A Thrill

Better late than never, mine definitely are:

My Father
Don't Cry Out Loud

What a pity they are not on CD or fully on YouTube. How I would love a copy of that whole BBC concert at Pebble Mill. She really was in perfect shape, much more then in some concerts just before or after!
