I'm in Love Again
In 1963 Peggy began collaborating with jazz pianist, songwriter and then-developing Broadway musical master Cy Coleman (Little Me, Sweet Charity, On the Twentieth Century, Barnum, City of Angels). Their first collaboration, “I’m In Love Again,” was recorded on November 2, 1963 and provided the title song for one of Peggy’s 1964 Capitol Records albums. She recorded it again in 1992 for her album Moments Like This. Not to be confused with an early Cole Porter song or several other similar titles, the Coleman-Lee “I’m in Love Again” has been recorded by Tony Bennett (in tribute to Peggy on his album Here’s to the Ladies), Jeanie Bryson, Barbara Carroll, Charles Cochran, Blossom Dearie, Missy Higgins, Linda Lavin, Stephanie Nakasian, David Silverman, Dianne Reeves and Marlene VerPlanck.
